New Melia Hotels to replace room keys with bracelets

Meliá Hotels International, in partnership with Oracle, is introducing bracelets to replace wallets and room keys. The bracelet uses Bluetooth and short-range connection capabilities to allow guests to unlock the door to their room just by placing the bracelet next to the lock, as well as enabling them to pay for meals in the restaurants or other hotel services such as treatments in the spa.
