Carlisle Wide Plank Floors has partnered with Pickering House Inn, Wolfeboro, N.H., to handcraft wide plank flooring as part of the Inn’s extensive renovation of the Pickering homestead. Carpet Recycling Facility Has Grand Opening in Phoenix

Aquafil last month inaugurated its first carpet-recycling facility in the States, in Phoenix. A total of 160 guests—including customers, suppliers and sustainability experts—gathered at the 116,000 square feet new building to celebrate the Grand Opening. As the President of Aquafil USA Franco Rossi said, 3.5 billion pounds of carpet are discarded each year in the States. Only two or three percent of this is recycled and often it is downcycled, the rest goes to landfills or is incinerated.

Marriott Tops Hotel Companies on 'World's Most Admired' List

Fortune just released the its annual “World’s Most Admired Companies” list. Six companies were listed in the “Hotels, Casinos, and Resorts” category. Topping the list in that category is Marriott International, followed by Hilton Worldwide Holdings, Hyatt Hotels, Las Vegas Sands, MGM Resorts International and Wynn Resorts. As of this morning, three companies had issued press releases about their achievements: Las Vegas Sands, MGM Resorts International and Wynn Resorts.
